CLIENT
Finning International is the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer that employs over 13,000 people world-wide and operates in three geographies – Finning Canada, Finning UK & Ireland, and Finning South America – with the head office in Vancouver, Canada.
PROBLEM
The webpage and print collateral that promotes what Finning can offer in rebuilding and servicing Caterpillar equipment, is presented in a complicated and very text heavy way. Customers are not interested in learning the options available for servicing and rebuilding the equipment that they own.
SOLUTION
Develop an illustration that reveals a step-by-step process showing some of the options available that is informative and easily digested for both digital and printed material.
PROCESS
Using a limited colour palette and flat design techniques, a stylized collection of Caterpillar equipment was illustrated. These illustrations were brought to life with technicians performing some of the tasks listed in the brief. These mini-sets were assembled into a vertical graphic that directs the viewer back and forth when reading the rebuilding steps, ending with a refurbished machine.
